Trends in 2018, like augmented reality, activism, anything and everything ultraviolet defined designs, was truly an interesting year, but we’re ready for the next great thing.

1. Minimal layered with BOLD

Ever heard of the mantra “less is more”  well this has been the dominated designs in the recent years. Where these BOLD colors meet uncluttered visuals become even more necessary for viewing content on smaller screens like smartphones. It brings out the products from the BOLD background. Allowing the audience’s to lock their eyes on the items.

This trend is expected to continue, as projects that pop with color are far from over.

2. 3D designs

These new designs are on a whole new level. With 3D designs, it’s almost impossible not to be in awe of these fascinating designs.  Bringing your work to life with 3D allows you to construct new environments and dimensions. Expect to see designers use 3D elements to enhance web pages and to create AR and VR experiences.

3. Open Compositions

Say au revoir to framed finishes and Bonjour to free-flowing designs. These designs give you an endless pool of imagination, making you feel as if it’s a beautiful piece within a much larger exquisite design. As though there is more to the piece off of the page.

Let your audience’s mind spark curiosity and tap into their imagination. The concept aligns well with 3D trends, as designers use 3D objects to create the illusion of “more” outside the frame.

4. Flat Designs + Realism

When two exact opposites are met, it creates an astoundingly aesthetic design. It opens up a world with true dimensions, it challenges the way we see the design, it’s truly an art. Creating a flat abstract and 3D flow, allows you to play with the audience’s feelings – a mixed feeling.

5. Eclectic

This pop culture pushes for uniqueness and realness. Moving away from rigid, grid-based layouts and more toward asymmetrical approach. Accepting imperfections and allowing designers to freestyle doodles, stains of color and some tinge of organic textures.

Allowing you to get down and dirty with hand-drawn designs but not limited to on paper, designers may use it in the digital world too, with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop Sketch and Adobe Capture. Let your mind and body flow with your designs with this new way of art.
